UGT Calls for Measures to Improve the Use of Catalan at Work

In a radio interview, UGT representatives emphasized that linguistic training should not be an additional burden on the worker but a responsibility of the employer. They proposed that language courses be integrated into the standard workday to encourage participation, especially among non-native speakers who may feel intimidated by the language. The union believes that improving Catalan proficiency will not only help the language but also improve overall workplace cohesion and worker mobility.
